Report summary
Sangomar is a large oil and gas field in deepwater Senegal, 85 kilometres offshore. The SNE-1 discovery well in 2014 encountered shelf-edge Cretaceous oil and gas reservoirs associated with turbidite flows. Sangomar came onstream in June 2024.The first phase was sanctioned in January 2020. It was developed via subsea wells tied back to a converted floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel with 100,000 b/d capacity.
