Report summary
The original Voisey's Bay discovery was made in 1993 by Archean Resources while conducting a regional diamond exploration programme for Diamond Fields. The integrated Long Harbour refinery was commissioned in December 2013. Vale completed construction and commissioning of the Voisey's Bay mine expansion (VBME) project in 2024. The project developed two underground mines – Reid Brook and Eastern Deeps – to supply ore for processing at the company's Long Harbour refinery
