Afiq Naqiuddin

Afiq is a Research Analyst within Wood Mackenzie’s Power and Renewables team, specialising in the solar markets across Southeast Asia. He analyses market trends, policy developments, forecasts, tenders, corporate PPAs and asset ownership, delivering high-impact insights on the region’s solar sector.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Afiq worked as a Senior Energy Analyst at the Energy Industries Council, where he covered the Middle East and North Africa region across a wide range of energy sectors, including oil and gas, power, renewables, energy storage, hydrogen and carbon capture.

Afiq holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in Malaysia.
