Report summary
August TTF prices settled around $10.4/mmbtu after a midweek spike due to supply concerns that the unplanned outage would setback Freeport's return. The European balance has remained flat week-on-week, with underground storage at 84%, slightly below 2023. Cross-basin flows are incentivised by a $1.8 spread between TTF and Northeast Asia DES. Forecasts for August suggest higher temperatures, increasing the front of the forward curve.
