Report summary
Eni operates the deepwater Cassiopea gas project located 20 kilometres offshore Sicily. It has established a new offshore production hub for Eni. Production began in August 2024 from the Argo and Cassiopea gas fields, but production has declined due to water breakthrough, resulting in a downward adjustment of the reserves. Eni intends to increase production again by fast-tracking the nearby Gemini field, discovered in 2024, while longer-term it could advance development of the 120 bcf Panda field.
