Clipper South is a tight gas field in the Southern North Sea, 65 kilometres north of Bacton gas terminal. A Shell and ExxonMobil joint venture discovered the field in 1983.Clipper South was developed using four wells tied-back to a single not-normally-manned (NNM) platform which is remotely controlled from the nearby Clipper facilities.
