Report summary
The Flotta Oil Terminal in the Orkney Islands was constructed in 1973 to receive oil and gas from the Piper and Claymore fields in the Central North Sea. The main Flotta Catchment Area (FCA) pipeline runs over 200 kilometres from these fields to the terminal. Oil and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) are separated and exported from Flotta.The terminal can handle up to 375,000 b/d of live crude spiked with NGL.
