Report summary
The Howarime Contract Area is located in the Say'un Al Masila Basin in east Yemen. The block lies to the north of the prolific Masila contract area and shares many of its geological characteristics. The Tasour field came onstream in 2000. After reaching a peak production of 18,000 b/d in 2004 it entered into decline. Operations were suspended in March 2015 and the operator declared forece majeure, due to the escalation of hostilities in Yemen.
