Jupiter Energy (Australia-listed) operates onshore Block 31 in southwest Kazakhstan. This contains three oil fields: Akkar East, Zhetibai West and an extension of the neighbouring Akkar North deposit. The fields were discovered in the early 2010s and, after a lengthy exploration phase, all entered commercial operations in 2023. In 2026, oil output averaged 630 b/d.
