The MLNG PSC covers eight gas fields offshore Sarawak and was awarded in April 1997, replacing the 1976 Sarawak Shell PSC. Production from the E11, F23 and F6 fields began while the fields were held under the 1976 Sarawak Shell PSC. Gas from the MLNG PSC is piped to the Bintulu terminal and used as feedstock for Malaysian LNG Plant (MLNG). The E11 field serves as a hub for many Sarawak gas fields feeding into the MLNG plant onshore Bintulu
