Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL), a subsidiary of The Attock Oil Company Limited (AOC), was incorporated in 1950 and has been a major participant in Pakistan's oil and gas industry. In 1978, POL took over the exploration and production business of AOC. POL operated fields located in the Upper Indus basin are mature and some are in the final years of production.
