The Sarsang block is located in northern Kurdistan, north of the Shaikan and Atrush oil fields. The Swara Tika field was discovered in March 2011. East Swara Tika was discovered on the block in April 2015. Swara Tika, the primary field, and East Swara Tika contain 340.3 million barrels of oil reserves. If resources at East Swara Tika are fully commercialised, the Sarsang Development Area could become Kurdistan's second largest by recoverable resources...
