Report summary
Sinopec's gas fields in the Sichuan Basin are mainly situated across the north and northeast of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. There are eight producing assets located in the north and the main gas-bearing reservoirs are situated in the Jurassic Penglaizhen, Suining and Shaximiao formations. Sinopec also controls two large gas discoveries, Puguang and Yuanba, in the northeast. This asset analysis covers Sinopec's gas production in Sichuan, excluding Puguang and Yuanba.
